A Four-Day Ride Through the Heart of Italy
------------------------------------------------------------

After cycling routes across northern Italy, my partner Robert and I decided to head further south. With friends running the Rome Marathon, the plan came together quickly: we’d cycle from Naples to Rome and cheer them on at the finish line. Four days, two EuroVelo routes, and one very fast sausage dog later, we rolled into the Eternal City on two wheels, exhausted, elated, and ready for pasta.

From the chaotic streets of Naples and medieval hilltop towns to ancient Roman roads and the warm kindness of strangers, this ride had everything we love about cycling. The unexpected, the hard-earned, and the moments that make you forget how tired your legs are.
